Safeco Awards $100,000 to PACE

In February, the Safeco Insurance Foundation awarded Performing Arts Center Eastside a grant of $100,000 in support of the Campaign For PACE. The Grant was the largest of the 11 community grants given this year to local nonprofit organizations in the Puget Sound region. The Foundation was established in 2004 to continue the civic and community leadership Safeco has demonstrated throughout its 85-year history.

John Haynes, Executive Director and CEO of PACE, said, "PACE is honored to be included among the outstanding organizations and programs selected for funding by the Safeco Insurance Foundation this year. To build this world-class facility, PACE has assembled an amazing team that includes visionary Board members, experienced Campaign leadership, and generous donors, like Safeco, who embrace innovative projects such as PACE that will be transformational for the entire region."

"We applaud the Campaign For PACE and are proud to contribute to its future development," said Virginia Anderson, President of the Safeco Insurance Foundation. "It is our honor and privilege to support them in building a stronger, more viable community."
