New Major Gifts to Campaign For PACE

Performing Arts Center Eastside (PACE) is pleased to announce that the Campaign For PACE has recently received two new major gifts.

PACE Board members Brad Smith and Kathy Surace-Smith recently announced that their family will make a $250,000 pledge to the Campaign. Brad and Kathy both have strong ties to the Eastside, where they live and work. Brad serves as Microsoft's Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, and Kathy is Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of SonoSite, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed medical device company specializing in high-performance, hand-carried ultrasound technology, based in Bothell, Washington.

In late September, Randy Talbot, President and Chief Executive Officer of SymetraSM Financial, notified the PACE Board that SymetraSM Financial will increase its pledge from $50,000 to $100,000. In addition to his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of SymetraSM Financial, Randy serves as a PACE Director and Corporate Division Chair for the Campaign For PACE. SymetraSM Financial is a Bellevue-based company that provides retirement plans, employee benefits, annuities, and life insurance through independent distributors nationwide.

Both contributions are further demonstration of the growing understanding of the value PACE will bring to the Eastside – that the arts are a means to enhance our sense of place and identity as a community, to support our young people, to educate and entertain, and to attract the best and brightest to our schools, businesses, and civic life.
