PACE Act Two Guild Announces Fundraising and Fashion Event
Second Annual Silhouettes of Style Coming Spring 2010
BELLEVUE, Wash. (Dec. 14, 2009) – The Act Two Guild, a volunteer organization of Performing Arts Center Eastside (PACE), announces today details of its second annual fashion event to benefit PACE. Silhouettes of Style – Talk of the Town is scheduled for Friday, April 16, 2010 at The Westin Bellevue and will treat guests to a dazzling runway fashion show featuring the hottest new styles of the season. The show will be presented by The Bellevue Collection in conjunction with The Collection's Spring Runway '10 annual fashion event.
The Act Two Guild consists of more than 30 women committed to raising community awareness and support for the future 2,000-seat, Bellevue-based performing arts center, scheduled to open in 2013. "Last year's show was incredibly well-received by everyone who attended," says Kristi Gegner Nangle, co-chair for the 2010 event with Donna Leggate-Hoffmann. "We are looking at creative ways to add even more excitement this year, both in presentation and the overall style of the event. We could not have a better partner in The Bellevue Collection and look forward to creating an entertaining, unforgettable fashion luncheon event to benefit PACE."
According to Jennifer Leavitt, vice president of marketing for The Bellevue Collection, "Last year, our coordination with the Act Two Guild resulted in a wonderful experience for everyone involved. It added an exciting element to our Spring Runway '09, and we are certain that it will again be a welcome addition." This year's Spring Runway '10 will be held from April 8–11, 2010.
According to Act Two Guild President Kim Hardwick of Woodinville, who co-chaired Silhouettes of Style in 2009, "This group of women is dedicated to the success of PACE. In addition to raising funds, our goal is to create a buzz of expectation around the union of fashion and performing arts – which will add great energy to cultural and shopping experiences on the Eastside."
Officers of the Act Two Guild, in addition to Hardwick, are: Kristi Gegner Nangle, vice president, of Bellevue; Carol Loya, treasurer, of Kirkland; and Laurie Hooper, secretary, of Bellevue.
Funds will be raised through sponsorships, table and ticket sales, and a special Fund-A-Need "ask" to benefit PACE. There are several ways to be involved; sponsorship opportunities are now available.
