Dear Skip:
Please accept my enthusiastic support for Performing Arts Center Eastside (PACE). As the Executive Director of Seattle Theatre Group I understand particularly well the need for this kind of large-capacity facility, which will make world-class arts and entertainment easily available to Eastside audiences. I am excited that PACE offers the chance to bring professional performing arts to the Eastside; broadening audiences and repertoire; expanding education programs; and creating there a greater cultural presence.
Seattle Theatre Group will see these specific benefits of PACE:
- Regional collaboration in bringing first-run Broadway shows to the Puget Sound region, lowering costs and making STG and PACE a formidable force among arts presenters
- Development of new arts audiences in Eastside communities who may patronize other arts venues after visiting PACE
- Possible expansion of education and outreach activities, including Young Artist Training Program projects such as Dance This ..., Artist in Residence, residencies and Meet the Artist featuring soundchecks
I view the Performing Arts Center Eastside as an outstanding opportunity for Seattle Theatre Group, an opportunity that will complement our activities. I definitely see a mutually beneficial relationship developing between the two organizations, both of which will prosper, to the great benefit of audiences in the region and beyond. Please accept this letter of support with my enthusiastic endorsement.
Sincerely,
Josh Labelle
Executive Director
