Dear Ms. Linda Bonomi:
Microsoft is pleased to pledge $1,000,000.00 in capital support to Performing Arts Center Eastside (PACE). Enclosed please find the first payment of $500,000.00. PACE is an exciting addition to the rapidly developing Eastside community, home to a significant number of our Puget Sound-based workforce.
We want to help create an environment where the arts will thrive and be enjoyed for generations to come. The new center for the performing arts will greatly enhance the quality of life on the Eastside and add to the growth and prosperity of the region. We are pleased to see such a dynamic center coming to Bellevue in 2009.
Over the past 30 years, we have learned a good deal about how we can be an effective community partner. Throughout Microsoft's history, our community activities have been a central part of our mission, an integral part of our corporate culture, and a core component of our business.
We appreciate the opportunity to partner with Performing Arts Center Eastside (PACE) around your capital campaign and we look forward to working with you in the year ahead. Please contact Jane Broom in Community Affairs at 425-706-4253 or janeb@microsoft.com, if you have questions regarding this gift.
Sincerely,
Akhtar Badshah
